An old farmer wrote a letter to his son, James, who is
serving a prison term in the City. “Dear James, This year I won't be able to
plant potatoes because I cannot dig the field as usual. I know if you were
here, you would help me. Do take care of yourself, my beloved son”.
James responded, “Hello Dad, I hope you are keeping fit and
taking your medicine. Please, don't even think of digging the field because
that is where I buried the money I stole. I will dig the ground myself once I
am out of here. Regards- James”
The Prison officers and the Police read the letter and the
very next day the whole field was dug by police looking for the money but they
found nothing. James as he planned, heard what the Police have done in his
father's field, and decided to write again to his father, “Hello Dad! Now plant
your potatoes. It's the best that I can do from here!”
Obstacles are everywhere in life. Whether they are everyday
problems or crisis situations, you can always do something to overcome them.
Whatsoever situation you may find yourself now, surely, there is a way out of
it. So do not crumble when the odds stack up and surrender without any attempt
to overcome the situation.
The difficulties of life are intended to make us better, not
bitter. A bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make
the turn. When there is nowhere to look, call upon your inner resolve. Always
observe the silver lining. Though it may not be visible immediately, you can
see it if you keep on looking for it. When written in Chinese the word
"crisis" is composed of two characters - one represents danger and
the other represents opportunity. Think calmly and do your best.
